Surrey Man Jailed Over Drug County Lines Scheme
Ruzhdi Nela, 41, from Addlestone, Surrey, has been slammed with an eight-and-a-half year prison sentence for masterminding drug deals across county lines. Between July 2021 and March 2022, Nela ran a cocaine supply operation from his home, arranging deals and directing couriers to customers in Basingstoke.
Two Drug Lines in Play: Pablo & Dr Frank
Police investigations uncovered Nela as the line holder for two major drug networks, known as Pablo and Dr Frank, servicing Basingstoke. Sitting comfortably at home on Crockford Park Road, he messaged buyers and organised transactions, while drivers delivered Class A drugs to users on the ground.
Luxury Lifestyle Bust – £9,000 Cash & Designer Clobber Seized
When officers raided Nela’s home in March 2022, they found his mobile phone linked directly to the drugs messages. They also nabbed over £9,000 in cash, designer clothes, and shopping receipts from luxury spots like Bicester Village.
Eight Years Inside for Cocaine Kingpin
Despite denying charges around Class A drug supply and criminal property, Nela was convicted after trial at 1 Crown Court. On Friday 22 December, the judge handed down an 8 year 6 month jail term. Investigator Matt Nettleton slammed Nela’s criminality:
“Ruzhdi Nela supplied 2kg of cocaine in Basingstoke through county lines initially called Pablo then Dr Frank. He organised deals from his Addlestone home by directing drivers to customers. His crime-funded luxury lifestyle included regular trips to Bicester Village.”
“This sentence shows police will stop at nothing to keep violent drug networks out of Basingstoke. Drug dealing brings harm, crime, and violence. We will relentlessly pursue criminals so local people can live without fear.”
