County Lines Dealer Nabbed in Radnor Park Sting
Kent Police’s County Lines and Gangs Team cracked down on drug dealing in Radnor Park this summer. Their intel pointed to Connor Gibbs using a nearby property as a drugs base in May and June 2022.
Warrant Uncovers Cash, Knives and Phones
Officers swooped on the address on Tuesday 19 July. They seized two phones, £900 cash, scales, and two knives. Gibbs, 24, was promptly arrested.
Messages Reveal Links to ‘Reds’ County Line
Examination of the phones revealed messages offering Class A drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin, tied to the notorious ‘Reds’ county line. Gibbs admitted involvement the next day at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court.
Judge Hands Down Prison Sentence
On Monday 7 November, Canterbury Crown Court sentenced Gibbs to three years and eight months behind bars.
Detective Constable Karl Shonhard said: “Drug dealing networks like the one Gibbs was a member of bring knock-on crime, anti-social behaviour and misery to the areas where they traffic drugs. The speed at which Kent Police is tracing and shutting down these groups sends out a clear message: If you get involved in drug dealing you will soon end up in prison.
