Maidstone Murder: Suspect Charged After Man Found Dead
Detectives have charged a man with murder following a deadly incident in Maidstone.
Tragic Scene in Cambridge Crescent
Kent Police were called at 9.13pm on Monday 4 May 2020 to a property on Cambridge Crescent. South East Coast Ambulance Service rushed to the scene but a 29-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead.
Arrest and Murder Charge
Just 25 minutes later, at 9.38pm, Kieron Nicholson, 29, from Vicarage Road, East Farleigh, was arrested. The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate launched a full investigation.
On Wednesday 6 May, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised a murder charge against Nicholson. He remains in custody and is set to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court.
Additional Arrests and Ongoing Investigation
- Another 29-year-old man from Maidstone, initially arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on bail and must return to the police station on 2 June.
- A woman in her 20s from Tonbridge was also arrested but has since been released pending further inquiries.
