Peterborough Drugs Raid Nets £450 of Cannabis and Designer Gear
Early on 15 December last year, cops raided a flat in Avonside House, Fletton Quays, Peterborough. They found 30-year-old Saimon Novikas fast asleep in a bedroom. The Neighbourhood Support Team arrested him, revealing he was wanted for failing to appear in court over handling stolen goods in High Wycombe, Bucks.
Designer Clothes and Electronics Seized
During the search, officers uncovered around £450 worth of cannabis and drug gear, plus high-value designer clothes and electrical items. Novikas, from Alfred Road, Birmingham, claimed the designer goods weren’t his. However, he admitted the £560 cash stash found in his room was his.
Text Messages Expose Cannabis Dealing
Police downloaded Novikas’ phone, finding texts linked to dealing cannabis. Yesterday at Peterborough Crown Court, he was jailed for 18 months. He had already admitted to cannabis supply, criminal property acquisition (cash), and cannabis possession.
A second man was also arrested during the raid and awaits trial for similar drug offences.
