Thurrock Gangster Carlito Hall Jailed for Flouting Tough Injunction

Carlito Hall, 21, a member of the notorious C17 gang in Thurrock, has been slammed with a 20-week prison sentence for repeatedly breaking a strict gang injunction.

Crackdown on C17: What the Injunction Demands

  • Hall and other C17 members are banned from key Thurrock hotspots including Grays town centre, parks, Lakeside, and Grays Beach Riverside Park.
  • They cannot wear hoodies unless in bad weather.
  • Associating with fellow C17 members is forbidden.
  • Groups of two or more behaving in an intimidating way in public are banned.
  • Gangsters must hand over all social media details to Essex Police.
  • Some members are barred from being with girls under 16.
  • Making drill music videos—often featuring weapons and threats—is outlawed.

Carlito Hall Caught Red-Handed

Despite the heavy restrictions, Hall was caught wearing a hooded top and possessing unregistered mobile phones. Most seriously, he had items linked to drug dealing.

Yesterday at Chelmsford County Court, his blatant breaches of the injunction landed him in prison. Hall lives on Lewis Avenue, London, but has caused mayhem in Thurrock.

Inside the Dangerous World of C17 Gang

The C17 gang, first flagged by Essex Police’s Operation Raptor team in 2017, has terrorised Thurrock’s streets with drug dealing and violence. Their grip stretches across Grays town centre, the town park, beach areas, and Lakeside.

Shocking evidence reveals how the gang exploits children, forcing them to run drugs, carry cash, or weapons. Younger members act as lookout “spotters” while others deal. They also use intimidation to take over vulnerable drug users’ homes—known as ‘cuckooing’—turning them into drug bases.

The gang’s violence mostly stems from deadly rivalries with other crews and drug turf wars. Their ‘drill’ rap videos, rife with weapons and threats, fuel these conflicts.

Spotted C17? Here’s How to Report Them

If you see the C17 gang where they’re banned or suspect any breaches of the injunction, call Essex Police on 101 or report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Help put gang crime behind bars.
