Acid Attacker Back Behind Bars After Licence Breach
Stefan Sylvestre, from Shepherd’s Bush, west London, was jailed for life in 2009 for a horrific acid attack. He was told to serve at least six years before parole but was released in 2018 at just 30 years old.
Now, Sylvestre has been recalled to prison after breaching his licence conditions.
Victim Left Scarred for Life
The victim, Piper, suffered devastating injuries in the 2008 attack. She was left fighting for her life after Sylvestre hurled corrosive acid over her.
The attack was arranged by Piper’s obsessive ex, Daniel Lynch, who was jailed for life with a minimum of 16 years. Lynch was also convicted of sexually assaulting Piper and instructing Sylvestre to carry out the attack.
’Faces of Pure Evil’
The brief relationship between Piper and steroid-fuelled martial arts fan Lynch turned nightmarish when jealousy took hold. Lynch, who had a previous conviction for pouring boiling water over a man, pushed Sylvestre to throw acid.
Judge Nicholas Browne QC branded Lynch and Sylvestre “the face of pure evil” at sentencing.
Authorities Act Fast
A Probation Service spokeswoman said on Sunday: “We are urgently working with the police to bring the offender back to prison where he’ll face longer behind bars.”
