Claw Hammer Thug Arrested on Bus After Threatening Family in Brighton

Marcus Fraser, 28, from Brighton, was dragged from a bus with a claw hammer in hand after threatening a family just minutes earlier.

Homophobic Rant Sparks Violent Incident

When asked to leave the Park Road home, Fraser flew into a rage, hurling vile homophobic abuse at the victims before storming off.

He jumped on a bus, but police stopped it in central Brighton and arrested him on June 22, 2021.

Justice Served: 32 Months Behind Bars

Fraser was convicted at Lewes Crown Court on June 9 for making threats to kill and damaging property.

He was sentenced to 32 months in prison. A restraining order bans him from contacting his victims or entering Rushlake or Park Road.

Police Praise Quick Action

“This was an extremely frightening ordeal for Fraser’s victims, who had arrived unannounced at their home carrying an offensive weapon and left them in no doubt that he was willing to follow through on his threats,” said Detective Josh Bellamy.

“Thankfully, officers quickly located and stopped the bus he was on, arrested him, and protected the family. We are pleased this sentence has removed a dangerous person from the streets.”
