Man Arrested for Shocking Crime Against Woman in Her 70s
James Bex, 35, with no fixed address, was snapped up by police on the evening of 31 December 2022. By New Year’s Day, he faced a slew of serious charges.

- Causing a female 13 or over to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity
- Burglary
- Two counts of fraud by false representation
- Assault by beating
Bex appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 2 January. The court remanded him in custody ahead of his next hearing at Isleworth Crown Court on 30 January.
Disturbing Incident Under Investigation
The charges stem from a disturbing sexual assault reported on the evening of 23 December near Ledbury Road, W11. The victim was a woman in her 70s.
Police continue to investigate the serious allegations as the case proceeds.
