An elderly man woke up to find a stranger in a high-visibility jacket standing in his hallway. The man casually asked if there was any scrap metal for sale. When told there wasn’t, he quickly made off.

The homeowner later discovered a large sum of money missing from his wallet. To make matters worse, an internal CCTV camera had also been stolen during the break-in.
Police Nab Suspect After Quick Investigation
Wilshire’s Community Policing Team sprang into action, securing key evidence and identifying a suspect. Working with Operation Fortitude, they arrested a 33-year-old man from the West Midlands.
The suspect has been released on conditional bail as inquiries continue.
