Chaos erupted on Southampton’s London Road on Wednesday morning, July 6, when police were called to a disturbance around 10 a.m.
Night Incident Leads to Arrest
Later that evening, officers investigating an incident on Parsonage Road arrested Samuel Woodford, 31, from Delorme Street, Hammersmith, London.
Serious Charges Laid
- Possession of a knife or sharp article in public
- Intentional grievous bodily harm
- Assault on a police officer
- Four counts of criminal damage under £5,000
Next Court Date Set
Woodford was remanded in custody on July 8 to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court. He has been further remanded to face Southampton Crown Court on August 5.
