Man Charged with Murder of Bulgarian in Croydon Home
A 44-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a 60-year-old Bulgarian found dead in Croydon.
Murder Charge for Nikolay Zhivkov
Nikolay Zhivkov, who has no fixed address, was charged on Saturday, 18 January, with killing Krasimir Kartikov. The victim was discovered inside a home on Whitehorse Road, Croydon.
Victim Found with Multiple Injuries
Police and London Ambulance Service were called at about 8.50am on Monday, 13 January. Mr Kartikov was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem on 15 January revealed he died from multiple injuries.
Next Hearing at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court
Zhivkov was arrested on 16 January and taken to a west London police station. He is set to appear in custody later on 18 January at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court. Authorities have informed the victim’s next of kin.
