Fiancé Brutally Kills Partner in Shower Attack

A man has been found guilty of murdering his fiancée, Amy Parsons, 35, in a shocking and savage attack inside their London flat. Roderick Deakin-White, 38, battered Amy with a metal bar while she was showering, leaving her to die in the bath.

Jealous Rage Turns Deadly

  • Deakin-White, unemployed and reliant on Amy, grew increasingly controlling and jealous.
  • Amy, originally from Australia, had started a new relationship and was planning to leave him.
  • He spied on her laptop, tracked her taxi rides, and stalked her home from work.
  • On the day of the murder, Amy told a friend she needed to sort out their troubled relationship.

Gruesome Attack in Their Flat

Deakin-White attacked Amy with a metal pull-up bar, delivering multiple blows to her head and face. The court was told the assault was brutal and sustained, causing severe brain damage and obstructing her airway. Despite hearing her screams, neighbours did not realise the horror unfolding.

After the attack, Deakin-White locked the flat and left Amy critically injured, dying alone in the bath. The next day, he called his father and admitted he was a murderer. Police forced entry and discovered Amy’s body.

Caught and Convicted

Deakin-White confessed to a stranger near Tottenham Police Station before being arrested. “I thought I had killed my fiancée,” he told officers, describing himself as a “murderer.”

Detective Inspector Darren Jones blasted Deakin-White’s violent and controlling behaviour: “Amy paid the ultimate price because of his selfish rage. She was trying to break free from his abuse but he struck without warning.”

Deakin-White was found guilty of murder at the Old Bailey on 19 November and will be sentenced on 26 November.
