Predator Jailed for Attempting to Groom 14-Year-Old Girl Online
Mohammed Hoque, 44, with no fixed address, was slammed with a four-year prison sentence plus three years on extended licence at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Tuesday, 21 March. He pleaded guilty to arranging and facilitating child sex offences and trying to engage in sexual communication with a child.
Facebook Messages Reveal Disturbing Grooming Attempts
Hoque used Facebook Messenger to target what he thought was a 14-year-old girl. Despite being told her real age, he aggressively pushed sexual messages, repeatedly asking for explicit photos. The sick predator even sent a picture of his erect penis, hoping to entice the girl.
He invited her to London with clear sexual intentions, saying, “when you come all night u and me enjoy together” and “when u come u kiss me.”
Police Arrest Follows Handed-Over Evidence
Evidence of Hoque’s vile chats was turned in to Bethnal Green Police Station. Officers arrested him on Sunday, 23 October 2022.
PC Simon Brown, from the Central East Online Child Sex Abuse and Exploitation team, said:
“This was a very troubling case due to the nature of Hoque’s messages to a female he thought to be only 14 years old.
“It is clear from the messages that if the female was a real child then Hoque would have met up with her for sexual purposes. It is satisfying that Hoque has been given a long sentence due to the danger he presents to young women.”
