Prolific Drug Dealer Locked Up for Six Years
Anthony Watts, 40, from Newbury, was slammed with a six-year prison sentence at Reading Crown Court on Friday (23/10). He’s also banned from driving for four and a half years.
Massive Drug Operation Exposed
Watts pleaded guilty to multiple offences, including:
- Three counts of being involved in the supply of cannabis
- Three counts of possession with intent to supply cannabis
- One count of possession with intent to supply cocaine
- Being involved in the supply of cocaine
- Two counts of dangerous driving
- Handling stolen goods
The court heard Watts operated a postal drug racket from March 2019 to June 2020, sending drugs across the UK. Despite being disqualified, he also fled from cops twice earlier this year, on March 9 and April 15.
Police Warn Public to Stay Vigilant
“This was a lengthy investigation which has resulted in the conviction and imprisonment of a prolific drug dealer,” said Detective Constables Karen Symons and Tracey McQueen.
“He used the postal service to distribute his drugs and whilst doing so he endangered the public with his reckless and illegal activities.”
