Walsall Man Jailed for Peddling Heroin, Crack & Cannabis
Ricardo Aaron Newell, 30, from Wolverhampton Street, Walsall, has been locked up for three years at Stafford Crown Court. He pleaded guilty to dealing heroin, crack cocaine, cannabis, and growing cannabis plants.
Caught Red-Handed in Audi A3 Deal
Officers spotted Newell on Manor Road on 7 January last year, cruising in an Audi A3. They saw him pull over and hand over a package to a man. After he walked away from the car, cops detained him. He had £135 cash and a mobile phone used to sell class A drugs.
Home Search Uncovers More Evidence
A search of Newell’s home revealed cannabis plants and digital scales coated with traces of heroin, crack, and cannabis. Texts on his phone confirmed he was actively selling drugs locally. He was charged and later admitted the offences.
“Proactive officers caught Newell in the act and have worked hard to ensure he is brought to justice,” said Detective Sergeant Jon Bradbury.
“Our disruption teams will keep patrolling and acting on intelligence to stop illegal drug circulation in our communities.”
