Another Sentenced for Violent Disorder
Franklyn Amadu, 24, from Linwood Crescent, Enfield, was found guilty of violent disorder. He received a two-year suspended sentence.
Brutal Attack on Quiet London Street
The vicious stabbing happened on 31 October 2019 in Blossom Lane, Lavender Hill. Police responded to reports of a stabbing at 13:02 but found no victim. Minutes later, James turned up at a north London hospital, where he tragically died at 14:21 from a single stab wound.
Mapeza was arrested the next day and charged with murder. The court heard the stabbing followed a rapid and brutal clash between rival groups.
Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith said: “This was a piece of appalling violence on a quiet Thursday afternoon that brought terror to the local residents. The participants didn’t care who was nearby and sadly this shocking violence led to the death of James Amadu.”
“I would like to thank those who came forward to assist the police in this investigation.”
