Teen Killer Sentenced to Life Over Milton Keynes Stabbing

Alfie Pride Locked Up for Murder of 17-Year-Old

Alfie Pride, 18, from Broughton, Milton Keynes, has been handed a life sentence with a minimum of 16 years behind bars for the murder of 17-year-old Lewis Wenman. The grim verdict came at Coventry Crown Court following a Thames Valley Police probe.

Fatal Stabbing Shocked Local Community

The tragedy unfolded on 7 November 2020 after an altercation on Tyburn Avenue, Milton Keynes. Lewis suffered fatal stab wounds and despite being rushed to hospital, he later died. Police launched a murder investigation as Pride was swiftly arrested and charged on 10 November.

Detective Slams Knife Crime

“Lewis’s death was completely unnecessary, without justification and occurred through no fault of his own,” said Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Blaik, lead investigator.

“Not one of Lewis or his friends was carrying knives that day. Lewis died in front of friends who tried to save him, police, and paramedics.

“This case highlights the deadly consequences of carrying knives. Had Pride not been armed, Lewis would still be alive.

“His family and friends have shown incredible bravery since this tragic loss. Nothing can bring Lewis back, but today’s sentence hopefully brings some justice and a step towards healing.”
