Young dealer caught in Swindon crackdown

Roland Dickinson nabbed with £1,800 worth of drugs

Roland Dickinson, 18, from Scott Lidgett Crescent, was arrested last Thursday after police swooped on a Swindon property suspected to be “cuckooed” — where dealers take over someone else’s home.

Officers from the Wiltshire Police Fortitude Team found crack cocaine and heroin valued at £1,800, plus £1,000 cash stashed inside.

Drugs charges filed after community intel leads to raid

Dickinson now faces serious charges, including possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property.

During a hearing at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on May 9, he pleaded guilty and was bailed pending sentencing on July 7.

Police praise public for vital tip-off

T/DS Gareth Snoad said: “This case shows how valuable intelligence provided by the community is and how vital the role the community plays in helping us tackle illegal drugs in Swindon. I’m pleased we were able to safeguard a vulnerable member of the community and that Dickinson has pleaded guilty to the offences.”
