Phone Snatched and Smashed in Attack
When the victim tried to grab her phone to call for help, Dunka snatched it from her, smashed it, then flung it right into her face. She repeatedly tried to flee, but Dunka blocked every exit. At one point, he even wrestled her to the ground and held her down.
Desperate Escape After Hours of Captivity
After hours of terror, the woman finally got free via the back door. She bolted into the garden, climbed a fence, jumped in her car, and sped away to safety.
Dunka Caught and Sentenced
- The horrifying incident began at her former home on Skipton Circus around 5.30pm on 30 June 2023.
- Police were called after a witness reported a disturbance. They found Dunka hiding in the garden. He tried to run but was quickly arrested nearby.
- Dunka admitted to false imprisonment and breaching a restraining order that had been imposed in November 2022.
- At Nottingham Crown Court on 11 January 2024, Dunka was jailed for two years and four months and slapped with an indefinite restraining order.
