Knife attacker jailed for stabbing man to death in Lambeth

Tyrece Fuller convicted for fatal stabbing

Tyrece Fuller, 22, from Lambeth, was found guilty of manslaughter after fatally stabbing 27-year-old Terrell Davis-Emmons. The verdict came after a tense week-and-a-half trial at Inner 1 Crown Court. Fuller was sentenced in absentia on Thursday, 28 October, at Maidstone Crown Court after refusing to attend.

CCTV captures deadly attack in blunt detail

The court heard how CCTV footage showed Fuller lurking around Blenheim Gardens estate on the evening of 22 November 2020. At around 5:50pm, Terrell approached Fuller near Ramilles Close and greeted him with a hug. What started as a friendly meeting turned hostile.

Both men pulled knives on each other before being separated by a third man. Terrell appeared to put his weapon away, but Fuller kept tension high. The mysterious third party tried to calm things down, encouraging the men to walk away.

But just before 6pm, Fuller shocked onlookers by pulling out a knife and stabbing Terrell once in the chest. He then fled the scene towards Prague Place.

Emergency services fail to save victim

Police and paramedics rushed to help. Officers arrived by 6pm and started first aid. London Air Ambulance joined the critical effort at 6:20pm, attempting to resuscitate Terrell. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at 6:39pm.

Investigation and police statement

Fuller was first arrested two days after the attack but initially released under investigation. On 26 November, police searched a Ramilles Close property and found a disconnected CCTV system. After reviewing the footage, Fuller was re-arrested just after midnight on 28 November and charged with manslaughter and possession of an offensive weapon.

Detective Chief Inspector Kate Kieran, leading the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said:

“My thoughts are with Terrell’s family as they come to terms with this tragedy. The events of November 22 clearly show the dangers of carrying a knife. We will continue to clamp down on violence to stop more young men losing their lives on our streets.”
