Suspect Caught Red-Handed in Massive Cannabis Raid
Police used thermal imaging to spot a property on Firemans Row, Sutton-in-Ashfield, glowing hotter than the houses nearby. The unusual heat raised suspicions immediately.
Man Found Hiding Amid 400+ Cannabis Plants
During their investigation, officers noticed a man acting suspiciously inside the property and cannabis-growing equipment outside. On the evening of February 23, they forced their way in and uncovered the source of the heat: over 400 cannabis plants thriving in multiple rooms of the semi-detached house.
Dori Sado, 38, was discovered hiding in the loft and was promptly arrested. The former Firemans Row resident later pleaded guilty to producing cannabis.
Judge Slams Sado with Jail Time
On May 31, Nottingham Crown Court sentenced Sado to 12 months behind bars for his role in the cannabis operation.
Property Locked Down to Stop Further Crime
A closure order has been placed on the house, barring anyone from living there for at least three months. This move aims to prevent the property from being used in criminal activities again.
