Gun Arrest in Nottingham: Police Snatch Converted Pistols from Ford Fiesta
Police swooped on a Ford Fiesta along Nottingham’s A610 Nuthall Road, arresting a suspect and confiscating two converted guns plus ammunition. The stop came after officers received intel that 29-year-old Troi Brown was out armed.
Helicopter Helps Track Down Armed Suspects
Earlier that day, Brown had stashed the weapons in the car boot. A police helicopter was deployed to locate the Fiesta, which was stopped on the night of 3 May 2022. The driver, 26-year-old Sam Rigley, was quickly arrested. Searches revealed two pistols and 21 rounds of ammo inside the vehicle.
Four Charged After Major Firearms Haul
Following more investigative work, charges were brought against Brown, Rigley, 28-year-old Emre Bulbuller, and 39-year-old Ronald Redmond.
- Brown (Amesbury Circus, Cinderhill) and Bulbuller (Ralph Drive, Somercotes) pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing prohibited firearms and possession of ammunition without a certificate.
- Brown also admitted possessing a firearm while prohibited and was jailed for six years at Nottingham Crown Court on 16 March 2023.
- Bulbuller received a matching six-year sentence.
- Redmond (Amesbury Circus) pleaded guilty to criminal property arrangements and was given an eight-month sentence, which he had already served on remand. He was released on licence immediately.

Police Praise Operation to Keep Communities Safe
Detective Inspector Mark Adas of EMSOU said: “Dangerous weapons like these have the potential to cause immense harm to communities. Guns can have fatal consequences, but thankfully we removed them from the streets.
I hope our proactive work shows our commitment to making the region safer and protecting people from harm.”
