Knife Attack Shocks Maidstone High Street
Just before 7pm on Wednesday, 3 February 2021, police were scrambled to Week Street, Maidstone, after reports of a man with stab wounds. The victim was found at the junction with High Street and rushed to a London hospital, where he remains in serious but stable condition.
Suspects Busted Within The Hour
Less than an hour after the attack, Rodney Geisha, 49, from Fairmeadow, Maidstone, was arrested at his home on suspicion of attempted murder. Two other men, aged 43 and 23, were also detained in connection with the incident. Police believe all parties know each other.
Charges Laid, Court Date Set
- Geisha faces attempted murder and possession of a bladed article charges.
- He is also charged with grievous bodily harm concerning a second victim.
- Geisha was remanded in custody and appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 6 February.
- The other two suspects were released on bail to return on 25 February and 3 March.
