Burglar Busted After Knott’s Lane Break-In

A daring break-in on Knott’s Lane early on Saturday, 14 August 2021, saw a road bike and bank cards stolen from a local home.

Kent Police’s Chief Constable’s Crime Squad quickly launched an investigation. Their efforts led to 28-year-old Sean McNamara, of no fixed address, being charged with burglary and fraud over the use of a stolen bank card.

More Theft Charges Follow

  • McNamara faces charges for handling stolen goods linked to an electric bike taken from a city centre property on Monday, 16 August.
  • He’s also charged with two counts of attempted burglary after trying to break into a garage and a business on St Peter’s Street on Friday, 20 August.

In Custody Awaiting Trial

McNamara appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 21 August. He was remanded in custody and is set to return to court on Thursday, 26 August.
