Four Guilty Over Deadly London Birthday Party Shooting
Ka’mani Brightly-Donaldson, Kammar Henry-Richards, Joao Pateco-te, and Jeffrey Gyimah were found guilty at the Old Bailey after a gruelling ten-week trial on 11 and 12 December.
They face charges including conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Birthday Bash Turns Fatal
Victim Kacey, 25, was shot dead in Forest Rise on 13 August 2022 as he left a children’s birthday party at Peterhouse Community Centre.
Police arrived around 9.20pm to find Kacey had already been rushed to hospital. Despite doctors’ best efforts, he later died.
CCTV Breakthrough Leads to Arrests
Specialist Crime Command detectives poured over hours of CCTV footage and witness statements, tracking the shooter who sped off in a stolen car.
Raids on north London addresses resulted in six arrests. Investigators linked Kacey and the defendants to rival gangs with a history of violent clashes.
However, detectives say Kacey was likely not the intended target — the gunmen were aiming for another man.
More to Face Justice
Roody Thomas, a fifth man tied to the case, had earlier pleaded guilty to firearm possession.
All five will be sentenced at the Old Bailey on a date set for January.
