Five Jailed in Massive London Sex Trafficking Bust
Five traffickers, including four men and one woman, were locked up after a Met Police crackdown on an organised crime gang running brothels across London and Essex. The Central Specialist Crime Command uncovered over 300 potential victims during a daring investigation last year – with 134 women rescued and safeguarded.
Brutal Exploitation Exposed
After a tense 10-week trial at Isleworth Crown Court, the gang was found guilty on 16 March of conspiracy to facilitate travel for exploitation and controlling prostitution for profit. Sentencing is set for 27 May.
“I am pleased we have been able to uncover the true scale of this illegal operation,” said Acting Detective Inspector Esther Richardson. “My team worked tirelessly to identify and safeguard hundreds of women across London exploited by this organised criminal group.”
“Victims are often coerced and trapped, unable to seek help, and told not to trust UK authorities. We believe victims exist in every London borough, forced into labour across industries from construction to car washes.”
How the Gang Operated
- Michael Lozinski ran five brothels in west London.
- Sebastian Zimoch operated two in the Docklands and north-west London with his wife Anna Zimoch.
- The couple led the organised crime gang, recruiting women and employing drivers and receptionists.
- Drivers Gregaor Borowka and Rafal Lacki were trusted members who handled transport and logistics.
- The gang’s “business” began in 2015, profiting handsomely from the exploitation.
Victims were trafficked to client addresses, including high-paying “callouts.” One 19-year-old woman was forced into degrading situations and denied food when she resisted.
Operation and Arrests
The Met’s modern slavery team launched the probe in April 2020, mounting dawn raids on 9 February 2021 across five Essex and London locations including Harrow, Romford, and Forest Gate. Warrants led to the arrests of all five defendants at home, with Lozinski’s property also serving as a brothel.
The defendants are:
- Gregaor Borowka, 44, Harrow
- Sebastian Zimoch, 48, Romford
- Michael Lozinski, 52, Hayes
- Rafal Lacki, 41, Harlow
- Anna Zimoch, 45, Romford
This sweeping bust is a stark reminder that modern slavery thrives in the capital. The Met urges the public to stay vigilant and report suspicious activity to protect vulnerable victims trapped in the underground sex trade.
