Vicious Vandal Jailed After Terrorising Woman in Sevenoaks
Thomas Arnold went on a chilling rampage in Sevenoaks, smashing windows and stalking a woman he knew. His violent spree has landed him behind bars.
Window-Smashing Rage and Threats
On 11 December 2021, Arnold targeted a house owned by an acquaintance. He damaged several windows before fleeing the scene. Police were alerted and arrived with the victim when Arnold called to make chilling threats against her.
Relentless Stalking and Break-In
The very next day, Arnold sent a barrage of disturbing phone messages, signalling he was stalking the victim. Undeterred, he returned while she was out, smashed more windows, and climbed through a broken pane.
Destruction and Theft Inside the Home
- Arnold slashed sofas and chairs multiple times.
- He stole a sum of cash before running off on foot.
Kent Police were quick to respond. Officers arrested Arnold close to the property shortly after.
Justice Served: Jail and Restraining Order
The 31-year-old from Quarry Road, maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone, was charged with burglary, criminal damage, and harassment causing the victim to fear for her safety. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced on 9 February 2022 to two years and four months in prison.
Arnold will also face a five-year restraining order.
PC James Grace, from the Vulnerability Investigation Team, said: “Arnold is a violent individual who put his victim through a terrifying ordeal. His actions were those of a bully and a coward, and west Kent will be safer while he’s behind bars. I commend the victim for her courage and the witnesses who helped bring this criminal to justice.”
