Police Hunt Man Over Shocking Sexual Assaults in South London
Detectives are urgently seeking help to identify a man linked to a string of sexual assaults in south London last month.
Three Women Assaulted in Broad Daylight
On Sunday, 4 April, at around 2:40pm, three women were targeted by the same suspect within minutes on East Street, SE17.
- A woman in her twenties was walking down East Street when a man lunged at her and inappropriately touched her, knocking her to the ground.
- Members of the public sprang into action and alerted the police.
- The attacker then fled towards Blackwood Street.
CCTV Reveals More Victims
Police say CCTV footage shows the same man assaulted two other women nearby just minutes before. Those victims have yet to come forward.
Detectives have released a CCTV image of the suspect. He is described as a slim black man aged in his 30s or 40s. At the time, he wore a blue hooded jumper under a black puffa jacket and dark tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down the leg.
