Woman Banned After Kicking, Spitting at Cops and Urinating in Police Van

Police in Burgate, Canterbury faced a shocking ordeal on Friday, 17 December 2021. During an arrest linked to an ongoing investigation, a woman launched an unhinged attack on officers.

Violence and Disgrace During Arrest

  • An officer was kicked in the leg as the woman resisted arrest.
  • While being taken to custody, the same officer was spat at.
  • Adding insult to injury, the woman allegedly urinated inside the police vehicle.

The trouble didn’t end there. While detained, the woman spat at officers on two more occasions, escalating her charges.

Charges and Court Date

53-year-old Amanda Waugh from Cornwall Gardens, Canterbury has been slammed with four counts of assaulting an emergency worker, criminal damage, and possession of a class B drug.

She’s currently remanded in custody and is set to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 20 December 2021.
