A man has been charged following a violent incident at a private home in Folkestone.
Woman Hospitalised With Facial Injuries
Kent Police were called to Brockman Road at around 3.30pm on Monday, 25 May 2020. Officers found a woman with serious facial injuries needing hospital treatment.
Four Officers Assaulted During Arrest
During the disturbance, four police officers were assaulted while trying to control the situation.
Stuart Goodwin Faces Multiple Charges
Stuart Goodwin, 33, from Deacon Drive, Basildon, was charged on Wednesday 27 May with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, four counts of assaulting an emergency worker, causing unnecessary suffering or injury to a person under 16, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He appeared at a virtual court hearing the same day and was remanded in custody. Goodwin’s case is set for Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, 22 June.
