Investigation Reveals Dark Web Exploitation
Detective Inspector Adrian Ure from Police Scotland’s National Child Abuse Investigation Unit led the complex inquiry. He called Young “a sexual predator” who manipulated vulnerable children. The probe uncovered a sinister pattern of abuse, including the creation and distribution of disturbing child sexual abuse material online.
Beyond direct assaults, Young exploited the dark web to share illegal explicit content, fuelling a global demand that ruins countless young lives.
Police Urge Victims to Speak Out
“We want victims to know their voices matter,” said DI Ure. “Their claims will be taken seriously and support will be provided.”
