Massive Blaze Rips Through Newhaven Industrial Unit
East Sussex Fire and Rescue are battling a huge fire at an industrial site in Newhaven. The alarm was raised at 9:32am on 8 August 2020 after reports of flames on Beach Road.
Firefighters Fight Fire with Full Force
By 11:30am, 12 fire engines had arrived, backed up by water carriers and aerial units. Crews are working non-stop to get the blaze under control.
No Injuries but Area Locked Down
Thankfully, no one has been hurt. The entire building was safely evacuated. But locals are urged to steer clear of the area and keep windows and doors shut due to thick smoke.
