Transport Cop Fired After Shocking On-Duty Sex Acts and Messy Messaging

Officer Caught Sending Lewd Pics in Uniform

PC Ian Whitmill, a British Transport Police officer based in Kent, has been kicked out of the force with immediate effect. The officer faced a swift Accelerated Misconduct Hearing on November 8, chaired by Chief Constable Lucy D’Orsi, over a string of appalling offences.

Gross Misconduct Unveiled at Hearing

Between October 2022 and March 2024, Whitmill allegedly snapped and sent explicit images – including photos of his genitals and videos of himself masturbating – all while on duty and in full uniform. Shockingly, he also misused police equipment to create the footage.

Further claims surfaced that between March and May 2023, he was active in a private Messenger group, sending inappropriate messages during working hours. There was also an allegation he possessed extreme pornographic content involving bestiality. Though he denied this final claim, the panel found it unproven.

Dismissed Without Notice for Betraying Trust

Whitmill admitted to the misconduct involving the explicit images and messaging but insisted it wasn’t serious. The panel disagreed, ruling these actions as gross misconduct. Consequently, Chief Constable D’Orsi fired him on the spot.

Chief Constable Lucy D’Orsi said: “The public and British Transport Police expect officers to uphold the highest standards of professional behaviour. The actions taken by PC Ian Whitmill whilst on duty were inappropriate.”

“His actions do not represent the values of British Transport Police and there is no place for this kind of behaviour in our force. Officers on duty are there to protect the public, not facilitate their own sexual gratification. It is for this reason he has been dismissed without notice.”
