Channel 5 Bailiff Paul Bohill Saves Struggling East Yorkshire Pub
TV star and Channel 5 bailiff Paul Bohill has pulled off a stunning rescue of The Plough Inn in Hollym, near Withernsea, East Yorkshire. Once on the brink of closure, this beloved village pub has been given a fresh lease of life.
From Courtrooms to Craft Beers: Paul’s New Venture
Best known for his calm and tough stance on “Can’t Pay? We’ll Take It Away,” Paul joined forces with business partner Andrew Ward to save The Plough Inn. After a major revamp, they threw a smashing reopening over the May Bank Holiday that attracted hundreds of visitors.
The duo organised a lively two-day beer festival, featuring five local bands and a buzzing beer garden despite dodgy weather. Paul said: “It’s the biggest event the village has had in 50 years.”
Local Cheers for The Plough’s Comeback
Villagers and visitors alike have raved about the pub’s new vibe. From pool teams to walkers enjoying free hot drinks inside the cosy pub, The Plough Inn is back as a social hub for the community.
A Beacon of Hope for Struggling Pubs
The East Yorkshire coast is known for stunning beaches and hidden gems, and now The Plough Inn adds to that charm. As pubs close nationwide, Paul’s success story is a shining example of how determination and teamwork can revive local favourites.
Thanks to Paul Bohill’s intervention, The Plough Inn stands tall once more, proving that with grit and community spirit, even the direst pubs can thrive again.
