Child Abduction Shocker at Halifax Mini Mart
Detectives in Calderdale are hunting a crucial witness after a chilling child abduction at the Mixenden Mini Mart, Halifax. The terrifying event unfolded around 6.30pm on Tuesday, 15 February.
Two Men Grab 12-Year-Old in Broad Daylight
Two males barged into the shop and threatened the 12-year-old boy. They forced him into a van waiting outside. Luckily, the youngster was released unharmed shortly after.
Police Seek Key Witness Who Was In The Shop
A member of the public was inside the store during the incident. Police believe this person could hold vital information and are urging them to come forward immediately.
Three Arrested But Witness Still Missing
Three people have already been arrested and released on bail amid the investigation.
Detective Constable Teri Gledhill said: “We are treating this as a targeted incident and are working with the young victim and his family to ensure he is appropriately safeguarded and supported.
“We have made extensive enquiries but this key witness has yet to identify themselves. I urge them, or anyone with information, to contact Calderdale CID.”
