Collision in Broad Lane sparks urgent police appeal
Police were called at 9.34pm on Tuesday, 20 September after a crash involving a car and an e-bike on Broad Lane, N15. The Audi driver stopped immediately and dialled emergency services. Officers arrived alongside the London Ambulance Service and the city’s Air Ambulance (HEMS) team.
E-bike rider suffers serious head injury
The 28-year-old male e-bike rider was rushed to hospital with a serious head injury. While his condition isn’t life-threatening, he has remained in hospital receiving treatment for over 11 weeks.
Police hunt key witness in red hatchback
Detectives believe the driver of a red-coloured hatchback who turned right onto Wakefield Road just before 9.34pm could hold crucial information. They’ve now released a grainy image of the vehicle, urging the driver to come forward.
Detective Constable Sam Rivers, of the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “It’s been 11 weeks since the crash and the e-bike rider remains seriously injured in hospital. We’re determined to uncover exactly what happened. “We especially want to hear from the driver of a red hatchback who may have witnessed the collision. If anyone else saw the incident or has footage, please get in touch. Even the smallest detail could be vital.”
