Police Call for Witnesses to End Senseless Violence
“This was a case of senseless and wanton violence which has no place in the community,” said Detective Constable Jon Wormwald of the Central South BCU. “We believe a large number of young people fled in different directions. If you were nearby and saw anything suspicious, we urge you to come forward.” “Given this happened in a residential area, many people may have witnessed the attack. Anyone with info to identify those responsible should contact us immediately.” “If you want to stay anonymous, call Crimestoppers. Your details won’t be shared with police but you can still help.”
One Arrest Made, Investigation Ongoing
A 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) and bailed until late November. Police continue to appeal for information.
