Brutal Attack Outside Eltham Pub Leaves Man with Life-Changing Injuries
Police rushed to Eltham High Street at 10.18pm on Saturday, 24 October after reports of a violent assault outside the White Hart pub.
Officers found two men in their 50s unconscious on the pavement. Both were rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
One Victim Suffering Brain Bleed, Second Treated for Head Injury
A 59-year-old suffered a bleed on the brain and remains hospitalised. While his condition is no longer life-threatening, he faces life-changing injuries.
The second victim, 53, was treated for a serious head injury and has since been discharged.
Three Men Identified in CCTV Footage After Attack
Police investigations, aided by CCTV footage, revealed the victims were attacked by three men after leaving the pub.
On 27 October, a 33-year-old was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm but later released under investigation.
Following a media appeal, a 38-year-old was arrested on 6 November and has been bailed until early December.
Police Urge Public to Help Identify Suspects
Detective Sergeant Ian Barnard said: “This was a disgraceful and unprovoked attack which left a man seriously injured in hospital with life-changing injuries.”
He added: “I would like to thank the public and media for sharing our previous appeal and would urge the person in this image to get in touch with police as soon as possible.”
