Teen Charged After Fatal Bus Stabbing in Chadwell Heath
Carlton Tanueh, 18, with no fixed address, faces serious charges following a stabbing on a London bus. He’s been charged with murder and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.
Tragedy on Route 173 Bus
Police were called at 3:55pm on Monday, 14 March, after reports of a stabbing on a Route 173 bus at High Road, Chadwell Heath. Officers arrived with London Ambulance Service to find a 16-year-old boy with stab wounds.
The teen was rushed to hospital in critical condition but sadly later died. While formal identification is pending, the victim has been named as Tyler Hurley. His family has been informed.
Investigation Underway, Suspect in Custody
Tanueh will appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 16 March. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the investigation.
