Teen Arrested Over Croydon Murder as Police Hunt for More Leads
15-Year-Old Held in Brutal Stabbing Probe
A 15-year-old boy was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday, 27 July, on suspicion of murder. He was taken to a South London police station and has now been bailed, with orders to return for questioning in late August.
Three Others Already Charged
Earlier, three males aged 15, 16, and 18 were charged with the murder of Camron and appeared at court. Their next hearing is set for 19 August at the Old Bailey.
20-Year-Old Also Bailed
On 9 July, police arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He has since been bailed to return in mid-August.
What Happened to Camron?
London officers were called to Bracken Avenue, Shrublands, Croydon, just after midnight on 1 July. Paramedics found Camron, who had been stabbed. Despite emergency treatment at the scene, he sadly died shortly after.
Camron was a local lad from Shrublands. His family is receiving support from specialist officers as the investigation continues.
