Eight Arrested Over Brutal Attack Outside Swindon School
Detectives have arrested eight males, aged 12 to 18, after a shocking assault outside St Joseph’s Catholic College in Swindon on Tuesday (12/03). One adult is among those held on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent following a disturbing attack on a 14-year-old boy.
Schoolyard Horror: Teen Badly Injured But Expected to Recover
The violent incident took place around 3:15 pm. The young victim suffered injuries that, thankfully, are not life-threatening but still required hospital treatment. Detective Inspector Phillippa Sharpley condemned the attack, especially highlighting the involvement of weapons by some perpetrators.
“Violence like this, especially outside a school while children are with their parents, will not be tolerated,” Sharpley said.
Six Released on Bail as Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward
Six of the suspects have been granted conditional bail pending further investigation. Two more arrests were made today (14/03) also on suspicion of GBH with intent. Police are now calling on the public to come forward with any information or mobile footage related to the assault.
