Explosion Rocks Spalding Road – Three Men Injured
Chaos in Gedney Drove
Police have cordoned off a road in Gedney Drove, Spalding, after a small explosion rattled the area at 10:53am. Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of the blast.
Three Men Hurt – One Seriously
Three men were injured in the explosion. One suffered serious injuries, though thankfully none are believed to be life-threatening. The other two men sustained less severe wounds.
Paramedics and an air ambulance were deployed swiftly. All three have been taken to hospital for treatment.
Experts Called In to Secure Scene
Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officers are on their way to make the area safe. The Health and Safety Executive will also investigate the cause of the blast. Police remain on site as the situation develops.
