Tragic Fatal Crash on A85 Claims Motorcycle Rider’s Life

Dalmally, Scotland – A deadly smash on the A85 between Dalmally and Tyndrum has left a 67-year-old motorcyclist dead. The crash happened at 4.10pm on Friday, 21 July, involving a grey Kawasaki ZR1000.

Emergency crews found the rider at the scene, but sadly he was pronounced dead on impact. The deadly collision shut the road for hours, reopening only around 1.15am the following day.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage

Sergeant Brian Simpson expressed deep sympathy for the victim’s loved ones. “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died,” he said. “We are working hard to establish exactly what happened.”

Officers are urgently calling for anyone who might have witnessed the crash to step forward. “If you were near the scene and haven’t spoken to police yet, please come forward,” said Sgt Simpson.

The investigation team are particularly keen to get hold of any dash-cam footage. “If you have relevant recordings, please share them – they are vital to our inquiry,” he added.
