Human Remains Found in Sarah Disappearance Case
Search teams hunting for missing Sarah made a grim discovery on Wednesday morning. Human remains were found in woodland near Ashford, Kent, police have revealed. The probe is now huge, fast-paced, and relentless.
Massive Police Operation Underway
Hundreds of officers and staff have been working round the clock. The search site where the remains were uncovered has been heavily guarded as detectives rush to crack the case.
Met Officer Held Over Kidnap and Murder
A serving Met police officer in his 40s has been arrested and is being held on suspicion of Sarah’s kidnap and murder. His detention was extended by Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court. He was initially arrested on the evening of Tuesday, 9 March.
A woman in her 30s, arrested alongside him on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on bail. She is due to return to a police station in mid-April.
Support for Sarah’s Family and Friends
Sarah’s loved ones have been updated and are being supported by specialist officers during this heartbreaking ordeal. Friends of Sarah are also receiving care amid the tragedy.
The investigation is led by Specialist Crime detectives, with support from hundreds of colleagues across the Met and assistance from Kent Police.
