Drag Performer Caught Pleasuring Himself on Train with Kids Escapes Jail

An entertainer and drag artist caught stroking himself on a packed train carriage, with youngsters as young as 10 present, has dodged jail but landed on the sex offenders’ register.

Shocking Scene on Busy Train

Wesley Mustapha, who goes by Wezley Sebastian and Cassidy Connors on stage, was nabbed by police at Southampton Central after fellow passengers spotted him pleasuring himself on a Sunday morning train heading to Portsmouth.

The Southsea bar and bistro worker had been on a “heavy night drinking” spree in Bournemouth before boarding the train. Shocked witnesses begged Mustapha to stop, worried for the children sharing the carriage.

Avoids Prison but Faces Tough Sentence

Mustapha, 37, pleaded not guilty to exposure but was convicted in absentia at Southampton Magistrates’ Court. He also admitted to possessing cannabis when arrested on 29th January.

At his trial, absent from court, he reportedly told officers: “I do what I want with my body. I understand my actions may upset people. But I am very liberal.”

He was handed an 18-month community order, 100 hours unpaid work, and must remain on the sex offenders’ register for five years. Plus, he faces £620 in court costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Career in Tatters After Train Incident

Mustapha’s tough luck hasn’t ended there. He’s lost a contract with a Birmingham theatre company due to the scandal but still works managing events at Southsea’s Bar 69, 69 Palmerston Road.

The former theatre actor, director, and choreographer once starred as Miss Understanding in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and appeared in the West End production of Hairspray.

Witness Shane Dartmoor, a bartender, said Mustapha “didn’t seem to realise what he was doing was wrong” as his trousers were down around his knees. “It was disgusting,” he added, concerned for the women and children in the carriage.
