Four Men Busted in Hove Drug Raid – Cops Seize Cocaine and Stash of Cash
Early Morning Raid Shakes Up Hove
Sussex Police launched a dramatic raid at a restaurant on Western Road, Hove, at 9.45am on Sunday, 2 June. The Tactical Enforcement Unit swooped in as part of a tough crackdown on drug trafficking and money laundering in the area.
Officers found a stash of suspected class A cocaine alongside a hefty pile of criminal cash, dealing a serious blow to local drug networks.
Four Men Charged and Locked Up
The police hauled in four men who made their first court appearance at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 4 June. All were slammed with drug supply and possession charges and have been remanded in custody.
- Klevis Doda, 31, of The Drive, Hove – charged with being concerned in cocaine supply and possession of criminal property.
- Mahamoud Zayad, 33, no fixed address – charged with being concerned in cocaine supply and possession of criminal property.
- Eris Deraj, 41, no fixed address – charged with offering to supply cocaine and possession of criminal property.
- Fitzroy Morris, 61, of High Street, Brighton – charged with being concerned in cocaine supply and possession of criminal property.
All four are set to face trial at Lewes Crown Court on 2 July.
Cops Vow to Crack Down Harder
Detective Sergeant Mark Pinder of Sussex Police said: “We continue to work hard to target criminal groups and disrupt the supply of class A drugs which cause so much harm in our communities. We also encourage the public to report information to us.”
