Police Raid Uncovers Cannabis Farm
Police swooped on a Lympne property on Wednesday 16 September and seized dozens of cannabis plants along with suspected growing gear. The raid, led by Folkestone’s Community Policing Team, targeted illegal drug production under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
66-Year-Old Charged After Cash Haul Found
Ian Mackenzie, 66, from Octavian Drive, Lympne, was charged with producing Class B drugs, possession of cannabis with intent to supply, and holding £6,000 in suspected criminal cash. He faced Medway Magistrates’ Court via virtual link on 17 September and was granted bail.
Next Court Date Set for October
The case is due to return at Canterbury Crown Court on Thursday 15 October as the investigation continues.

Detective Inspector Dan Aylett from Folkestone CID said: “We ask people to be our eyes and ears for suspicious activity in their community.”
