Sussex Drug Dealer Danny Wilder Slapped with Seven Years for £1 Million Cocaine Haul
Wilder Nabbed with Nearly a Ton of Drugs
Danny Wilder, 38, from Vale Road, St Leonards, has been locked up for seven years after police uncovered drugs worth close to £1 million in his possession. Officers spotted him acting suspiciously on Cloudesley Road on Friday, 19 May, leading to his arrest.
A quick search found a small amount of cocaine and a stash of cash. But the real shock came from a raid at his home.
Massive Cocaine and Cannabis Stash Uncovered
Police discovered around 10 kilograms of cocaine and 16 kilograms of cannabis, plus roughly £30,000 in cash. The street value of these drugs? An eye-watering £930,000.
Seven Years Behind Bars
Wilder faced possession with intent to supply both Class A and Class B drugs. On Monday, 18 March, the court sentenced him to seven years for the Class A offences, with other sentences running concurrently.
Sussex Police Praise, Community Alert
“These drugs would have devastated communities across Sussex,” said Detective Constable Amy Pooley. “Thanks to the hard work of Sussex Police and our partners, Danny Wilder is off the streets.”
Police urged locals to stay vigilant and report suspicious behaviour. Further proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act are set for 22 July, as authorities continue the crackdown on drug crime.
