Man Busted for Indecent Exposure on Brighton’s Madeira Drive

Police have arrested a man in Brighton on suspicion of indecent exposure after a shocking incident on Tuesday morning, 9 July.

Naked from the Waist Down

Officers rushed to Madeira Drive at around 10.10am following reports that a man was seen naked from the waist down. The suspect was promptly arrested at the scene.

Drugs and a Knife Found

During a search of the man’s bag, police discovered drugs and a knife. The 49-year-old, identified as William Mann of Hendon Street, Brighton, now faces multiple charges:

  • Indecent exposure
  • Possession of a Class A drug
  • Possession of a bladed article in public
  • Using threatening or abusive words to cause alarm

Released on Bail, Court Date Set

Mann was released on court bail and is due to appear before the court on 8 August (date to be confirmed).

Police Look for Witnesses

Detectives are urgently appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Witnesses are asked to report online or call 101, quoting serial 388 of 09/07.
