Man Charged Over 2017 Clapham Death After Six Years

A 33-year-old man has finally been charged in connection with a chilling 2017 death in Clapham. Briken Kola faces manslaughter over the death of 32-year-old Piotr Woroniecki, whose body was found on Parma Crescent six years ago.

Victim Found Strangled in Shocking Discovery

Piotr, a Polish national, was discovered lifeless on November 23, 2017. A post-mortem revealed the cause of death as “compression to the neck,” consistent with prolonged strangulation. The brutal injury suggested the victim was held in a tight headlock for an extended time, the Metropolitan Police confirmed.

Charges Include Manslaughter and Conspiracy

Briken Kola, from West Beckton, now faces serious charges beyond manslaughter. These include conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to rob Mr. Woroniecki. Kola appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on November 7 before the case was sent to the Old Bailey.

No plea was entered at the magistrates’ court, and the case will continue in the higher court as the investigation moves forward.
